Omkar (Olga Chwascinska) AYT-L1, RYT 500

Omkar means "Vehicle of the Mantra Om" Omkar, Satyananda Yoga (R) instructor at Atma Center

Omkar has been interested in the body and natural health from a very young age. Convinced early on that she would be a medical doctor, she became disillusioned with western medicine after observing several family health crises as a teen. She went on to study liberal arts with specific interest in Anthropology, Philosophy, Literature and Modern Dance at Case Western Reserve University and began a career in health education and disease prevention after graduation.

After ending her regular dance practice, Omkar quickly began to feel out of balance, and turned to yoga at Atma Center in 1999, quickly regaining equilibrium through this holisitc system that addressed the body, the mind and the spirit.

By 2008, Omkar understood that her path is to completely dedicate herself to natural health and healing, so she expanded her knowledge of the human body and mind through a 775+ hour certification course in therapeutic massage and bodywork from the Arizona School of Integrative Studies, located in the beautiful high desert near Sedona, Arizona (USA).

Omkar has lived in her native Warsaw, Poland teaching yoga and practicing therapeutic massage  as well as translating and working in media marketing for the past 10 years. She is now quite excited to return to her other home, Cleveland's East Side, to share her talents and passions for natural health, mind-body-spirit integration as well as wholesome marketing and business practices with the Atma Center.
