Pronounced, “Shubh~da” is a Sanskrit word meaning "a person who brings good things into your life".
Shubhada started practicing yoga while growing up in India. After graduating from Cleveland State University with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, she worked in the IT profession. When her children were born, she decided to be a stay-at-home mom and thoroughly enjoyed raising two boys with her husband.
While looking to find her next path in life, a serious knee issue led Shubhada to look for a style of yoga that would attend to her physical as well as mental and emotional needs. She started taking classes at Atma Center and enrolled in a yogic studies course offered by the Yoga Academy of North America. The practices helped her so much that she decided to pursue teacher training in order to help others in need. Shubhada is passionate about sharing the benefits of yoga with others.
