Nityatara, Cathy Prescott

Nityatara has been a yoga student for more than 30 years. She is registered at the highest level with the Yoga Alliance and holds a 1,000-hour certification in Yoga Therapy through Integrative Yoga Therapy (IYT). Nityatara is an Ayurvedic Consultant and Reiki Master. She has earned qualifications in Yin Yoga, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, Therapeutic and Remedial Massage, and Clinical Aromatherapy.


Nityatara, Cathy Prescott instructs the following:
  • Ayurvedic Yoga
  • An all-levels class that explores the concepts of Ayurveda and how they can support your yoga practice.

  • Yoga Nidra/Meditation Class (Open to all)
  • Learn different types of meditation and get ideas for developing an individual practice. The theory and technique of beginning pratyahara (sensory withdrawal) and dharana (concentration) are taught.

  • Progressive Yoga
  • Progressive Yoga is the third level in the progression of yoga offered. Progressive Yoga classes are 90 minutes and include Sun & Moon Salutation as well as more advanced asanas and pranayama, and longer meditations.

  • Fundamental Yoga
  • These classes are suitable for beginners, those with health challenges, and more advanced practitioners of yoga who wish to refine and deepen their awareness.
     
    Improve your flexibility, strength, and stamina and learn basic breathing and stress relief techniques that can help relieve and prevent degenerative conditions like arthritis, high blood pressure and back problems.
